Andrea benaCh, professional Counselor assoCiate
I am motivated to help every client learn healthy means of dealing with mental and emotional difficulties. I am dedicated to providing compassionate, empathetic, and nonjudgmental care.
Life can be incredibly difficult to navigate in the seasons of our lives, and I truly believe no one should ever have to walk through that alone. I approach therapy as a collaboration, rooted in understanding each person as an individual in the context of their family, history, culture, and daily life. My therapeutic style is collaborative and tends to incorporate warmth, humor, and honest feedback.
I believe that the success of a client begins with building a strong, therapeutic relationship. My warm, invitational, approach along with life experience and training aims to build this foundational relationship with each client I work with.
“Our wounds are often the openings into the best and most beautiful parts of us.”
– David Richo
I hold a BA in Media Communications and a MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with training in trauma, healthcare systems, and client advocacy. My areas of focus include anxiety, depression, grief work, and self-esteem. I utilize a person-centered and trauma-informed approach that includes cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and narrative therapy.
Before transitioning into a clinical role, I was with Second Growth as a billing specialist, supporting clients and navigating administrative logistics.
